Job summary

Sanderson in Bristol is seeking a Compliance Consultant to support onboarding for candidates joining clients via contract, temporary, or permanent routes. You will ensure onboarding tasks are accurate, timely, and client-ready, acting as a liaison between candidates, recruiters and client services.

The role focuses on right-first-time onboarding, regulatory accuracy, and a people-first approach, with shared ownership and collaboration at the core of our culture.

Responsibilities

• Guide candidates through pre-employment screening and onboarding processes.
• Ensure contracts, docs and background checks meet client and legal standards.
• Generate and manage contracts, offer letters and extensions accurately.
• Conduct vetting activities including references and Right to Work checks.
• Keep systems (SharePoint, CRM, onboarding platforms) audit-ready and up to date.
• Flag and resolve issues impacting compliance or timelines.

About the Role

We're looking for a people-focused and detail-driven Compliance Consultant to join our Compliance Team. In this role, you'll play a plays a central role in ensuring a seamless, compliant, and people-first onboarding journey for candidates joining our clients via contract, temporary, or permanent routes. This role blends attention to detail and regulatory accuracy with customer-centric service delivery. You will act as a key liaison between candidates, recruiters and client services colleagues, ensuring all onboarding tasks are completed to the highest standards of accuracy, efficiency, and care.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Guiding candidates through the pre-employment screening and onboarding process in a friendly, professional, and timely manner.
• Delivering right-first-time onboarding by ensuring contracts, compliance documentation, and background checks meet client and legal standards.
• Generating, issuing, and administering contracts, offer letters and contract extensions accurately and in line with SLAs.
• Conducting vetting activities including references, Right to Work checks, and client-specific requirements.
• Maintaining accurate records and ensure all systems (SharePoint, CRM, Onboarding platforms) are kept up to date and fully audit ready.
• Flagging and resolve any issues that may impact compliance or onboarding timelines, escalating when needed.
