Job Description
The salary for this role is £26,156. Onsite working is expected for 3 days a week, however, we actively support requests for flexible working.
This role is based at the following site: Culham, Oxfordshire.
This role requires employees to complete an online Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS), including The Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) checks for criminal convictions and possibly a search of open source data.
The Role

As Compliance Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in offering administration and business service support to ensure compliance with current procurement regulations, UKAEA internal processes and policies and will work in a collaborative and inclusive team to monitor the department's and UKAEA's compliance to procedures and processes in line with DESNZ requirements and Cabinet Office. You will maintain and update a range of databases and provide administration support across all areas of compliance, services and procurement commercial, dealing with a variety of queries that arise.?
Key Accountabilities:
- Maintain data & databases in support of the Commercial function.
- Use Procurement module of the U4BW (Agresso) system.
- Collate and prepare internal and external procurement reports.
- Provide support across all areas of Commercial.
- Promote procurement policies, processes and systems.
- Undertake compliance checks on the creation and amendments to vendors in U4BW.
- Provide support and advise through Commercial helpdesk tickets.
- Support in the delivery of U4BW Requisitioner and Responsible officer training.
- Deputise at CAB meetings, supporting on system changes.
- Undertake checks as assigned by the P2P Compliance Manager to support the P2P (Purchase to Pay) assurance processes.
- Act as a superuser for the Contract Management System and Etendering portal and any other system administrator roles as assigned by the P2P Compliance Manager.
- Assist in the maintenance of the shared email inbox.
Qualifications
Essential:
- 5 GCSEs (two of which must be Maths & English Language)
- Office based administration experience
- Demonstrable attention to detail with the ability to adapt depending on business requirements and incoming queries
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word and Excel
- Demonstrable experience working with a multitude of tasks and ability to prioritise effectively
Desirable:
- Familiarity with an integrated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
- Familiarity with Public Sector Procurement principles.
- Ability to handle and manipulate numeric data accurately to produce reports.
