Job Description

The role may involve national travel facilitating independent inspections and reviews across the Counter Terrorism Policing Network to support compliance with policies, processes, and procedures. You will support continual improvement, including promoting best practices across the network.

You will provide advice on managing security and information risk, consistent with CTP and UK Government Information Assurance policy. Participating in local and national workshops and forums, you will represent the assurance functions. Engaging and influencing internal and external stakeholders to promote compliance and consistency will be crucial.

This role offers opportunities to learn new skills and be part of a dynamic team operating at the highest level of national responsibilities, with professional development prospects. Working with emergency services, government agencies, intelligence services, and the military, you will contribute to national security and public safety.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking IT-related protective monitoring, security, and audits
• Assisting with establishing and maintaining Information Assurance and security for national and local IT capabilities
• Creating reports to support C&A functions/issues
• Investigating security incidents and suspected IT-related misconduct
• Maintaining accurate records regarding personnel, physical sites, and security incidents
• Providing advice on managing security and information risks in line with CTP and HMG IA Policy
• Conducting impartial security assessments and reviews of solutions and systems
• Influencing design, build, and deployment of solutions
• Managing ongoing accreditation processes
• Implementing C&A initiatives across CT Policing
