About the role

We are seeking an energetic, self-starting Senior Compliance Officer to join our UK team. The role involves engaging with all aspects of compliance within our growing, innovative fintech business.

You will support daily compliance functions, advise on regulatory and financial crime issues, and participate in projects to develop new products and services.

As part of a small but expanding team, you will actively participate in various business areas and develop into a Subject Matter Expert (SME) owning multiple compliance domains.

What you’ll do

Regulatory & Compliance Reporting

• Prepare and submit regulatory reports in line with FCA and other regulations
• Conduct ARM (Approved Reporting Mechanism) reporting checks
• Produce compliance reports and MI packs for senior management and boards
• Perform horizon scanning to identify emerging regulatory changes and assess their impact

Monitoring & Assurance

• Maintain the Compliance Monitoring Plan
• Conduct compliance monitoring and second-line assurance reviews
• Respond to and investigate alerts and issues as they arise

Governance & Controls

• Support policy reviews to ensure regulatory compliance
• Track and resolve incidents and breaches
• Assist as a DPO (Data Protection Officer) support, focusing on GDPR and data privacy queries
• Conduct PEP & sanctions screening, including alert review and clearance

Marketing, Conduct & Complaints

• Review and approve financial promotions according to standards
• Support complaints handling, ensuring proper documentation and root cause analysis

What you will need

• At least 3 years of experience in compliance within financial services
• Experience with regulatory reporting and monitoring
• Knowledge of AML/KYC processes and data protection principles
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities
