Job summary

TeacherActive is partnering with a Leeds SEND school to recruit a Complex Needs Specialist Teaching Assistant for short- or long-term placements with an ASAP start. The role involves one-to-one and small group support, helping students with learning and development while providing personal and intimate care when needed.

The ideal candidate will have Level 2/3 TA qualifications or relevant care qualifications and experience with PMLD, autism/ ASD or physical disabilities.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with complex needs, PMLD, autism/ ASD or physical disabilities
• Willingness to provide personal and intimate care as needed
• Experience in SEND settings or care environments preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small group support to students
• Assist learning and development activities
• Deliver personal and intimate care to students when required
• Support students maintaining dignity, safety and wellbeing
