Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a specialist SEN school in Bolton, seeking a dedicated Complex Needs Learning Support Assistant to support pupils aged 7-17 with a range of additional needs. This role involves 1:1 and small group support, assisting with communication strategies and personalised learning programmes.

You will work with teachers, therapists and families to meet individual pupil needs, promoting engagement and a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEND, complex needs, or autism.
• Patient, resilient and enthusiastic about making a difference.
• Able to build relationships with pupils with communication and sensory challenges.
• Experience in education, care, support work, health and social care, psychology or related field.
• Comfortable supporting pupils with personal care when required.

Responsibilities

This welcoming and well-resourced school supports children with complex learning difficulties, autism, sensory needs, communication difficulties, and medical needs. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers and therapists to provide tailored support that enables every child to thrive both academically and socially.

The Role

The Ideal Candidate

• Has experience supporting children or young people with SEND, complex needs, or autism

• Has experience in education, care, support work, health and social care, psychology, or a related field
• Is comfortable supporting pupils with personal care needs when required
