Justteachers is seeking a Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant specialist school in the Preston area on a long-term basis. The full-time post is due to start in September 2026, with shortlisting currently taking place.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications or experience supporting pupils with complex needs.
• Proven experience working in a SEND or specialist educational setting.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding, personal care, sensory learning and communication strategies.
• Two education or school-based references.

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with complex and multiple needs.
• Assisting with personal care, sensory activities and communication support where required.
• Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists and support staff to implement individual education and care plans.
