This role is ideal for individuals who have a background in care or support work, or have had experience with complex needs before. 1:1 and Small Group Support: Assist teachers in delivering engaging, tailored lessons and activities for pupils with severe learning difficulties (SLD) and profound multiple learning difficulties (PMLD).
Personal Care: Provide high standards of personal care, dignity, and hygiene support as required.
Communication & Engagement: Utilise alternative and augmentative communication (AAC), sensory integration techniques, and visual aids to help students express themselves and access the curriculum.
Progress Monitoring: Assist in tracking student development, managing behaviours of concern with empathy and de-escalation techniques, and supporting physical therapy or medical plans.
