Job summary

Senploy in Greenwich is seeking an experienced Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to join a Primary school in Greenwich. The role involves supporting pupils with SEND, including SLD and PMLD, through tailored teaching activities and personal care where required.

The ideal candidate will have a background in care or support work, and experience as a Teaching Assistant. Enthusiasm for supporting student development and working with complex needs is essential. Based in Greenwich with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• SEND experience or background in care, support work, or TA roles.
• Knowledge of PMLD/SLD and complex needs is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• 1:1 and small group support for pupils with severe learning difficulties and PMLD.
• Provide high standards of personal care, dignity and hygiene support.
• Use AAC, sensory integration techniques and visual aids to aid communication and access to the curriculum.
• Assist in tracking student development and supporting behaviours of concern with empathy and de-escalation.
