Job summary

Advantage Healthcare in the NG16 area is seeking a dedicated care assistant to support a 93-year-old gentleman at home with complex care needs, including tracheostomy care. You will help him stay comfortable and well-supported while receiving round-the-clock care in his own home.

No previous care experience is required as we provide full nurse-led training. Relevant experience with tracheostomy care, suctioning, PEG care, bowel management, or medication administration is beneficial but not

Pay: £14.30 per hour for day shifts | £14.80 per hour for night shifts

Shifts: Days and nights available | 8:00 am – 8:00 pm and 8:00 pm – 8:00 am

Job Description

What you’ll do

In this role, you’ll support a 93-year-old gentleman with complex care needs, including a tracheostomy. You’ll help him remain comfortable and well supported while receiving care within his own home.

Our client enjoys watching television and films and is particularly interested in football and cricket.

The key tasks within this role include:

• Providing personal care
• Tracheostomy care and suctioning
• Moving and handling
• Supporting with bowel management
• Administering medication
• Supporting with day-to-day activities

Qualifications

What we’re looking for:

You don’t need previous care experience to apply for this role, just plenty of care, compassion and resilience, as we provide full nurse-led training.

Previous experience with tracheostomy care, suctioning, PEG care, bowel management, medication administration or moving and handling would be beneficial, but isn’t essential.

A meet and greet with the client will be required as part of the recruitment process.
