Job summary

Independent Community Care Management, part of CCH, is seeking caring staff to join the Complex Care team in Leicester. You will support a non-verbal young gentleman with complex needs in a 2:1 package of care.

The role includes personal care, preparing and administering food and medicines, moving and handling, and regular oral suctioning to manage aspiration risk. Training provided to develop skills and confidence.

Qualifications

• Oral suctioning is required prior to interview.
• Medication administration experience is required.
• Moving & handling equipment knowledge is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to the client.
• Prepare and administer meals and medications.
• Assist with moving and handling as needed.
• Perform regular oral suctioning due to aspiration risk.

Job Description

What you'll do

You will be looking after a non-verbal young gentleman with very complex clinical needs. In this 2:1 package of care, this can range from providing personal care, food and medication preparation and administration, specialist moving and handling and regular oral suctioning due to a high aspiration risk.

Qualifications

Experience in the following clinical skills are essential prior to being selected for an interview:

• Oral Suctioning
• Medication Administration
• Moving & Handling Equipment (Postural Support, Sleep Systems, Hoist, Manual Wheelchair)
