Ec&I Partners Limited seeks a Compex Electrician for UK-wide projects, including nights away. Base salary £52,188 plus a company van, fuel card and night out allowance, with OTE £80,000+ from overtime. Qualifications

• Approved Electrician with an accredited apprenticeship or equivalent.
• 18th edition is required.
• ATEX rated equipment experience is essential.
• Reading and interpreting schematic, loop, P&ID drawings and control systems documentation.
• Strong on-site leadership and coordination for field-based projects.

Responsabilités

• Support internal and external electrical projects across the UK.
• Act as the main on-site point of contact, ensuring smooth project execution and clear communication.
• Install, inspect, test, and maintain electrical systems in Hazardous and Non-Hazardous environments.
• Ensure compliance with ATEX standards and all relevant safety regulations.
• Read and interpret schematic, loop, P&ID, and zone drawings, as well as control systems documentation.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical faults while promoting safety on-site.

Responsibilities:

As a Compex Electrician, you will:

• Support internal and external electrical projects across the UK.

Skills & Qualifications Required

• Approved Electrician with an accredited apprenticeship or equivalent
• 18th edition
• Compex 01-04
• C&G 2391 / 2394 & 2395 - Inspection and Testing certification.
• CCSNG or equivalent safety passport.
• Experienced with ATEX rated equipment, including motors, control stations, junction boxes, and lighting.
• Proficient in installation of metal trunking, conduit, tray systems, SWA cables, and LV distribution equipment.
• Strong understanding of control systems and electrical documentation.

Typical Earnings

• Basic Salary: £52,188 (OTE: £80,000+ based on realistic overtime)
• Away-from-home Allowances: Approximately £8,640 per year

A typical working week consists of 40 standard hours, with 12-15 hours of overtime available each week, plus £75 per night when working away (£30 overnight allowance and £45 meal allowance).

Unlike many field-based engineering roles, these earnings are based on realistic overtime rather than excessive working hours. The business actively supports engineer wellbeing and manages driving fatigue, meaning excessive overtime is neither expected nor encouraged.
