Animal Trust (UK) is seeking a friendly veterinary receptionista to join our Blackburn team. You will support clients and clinical staff, manage appointments, and handle payments in a busy, caring hospital environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience in veterinary reception, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work under pressure while showing empathy to clients during difficult moments.

Qualifications

• Experience of working on a medical or veterinary reception is required.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Empathy, understanding and clear communication are essential in challenging client situations.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming clients and their pets for appointments with a compassionate, professional attitude.
• Answering telephone calls and client queries.
• Handling medications prepared by the veterinary surgeon and handing to clients.
• Maintaining reception, waiting area and consultation rooms to a high standard of cleanliness.
• Dealing with stressed or upset clients and directing them to the appropriate teams.
• Taking payments, registering new clients and addressing client concerns.
• Organising and restocking the practice as required.
• Complying with health and safety procedures and data protection rules.
