Royal Mencap Society in Derry/Londonderry is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to support people with learning disabilities. Roles involve engaging communication, PBS techniques, and building meaningful relationships while promoting independence.

A clean UK driving license is required, and PBS will be applied to everyday interactions. We offer 2 x 23-hour contracts across day, night, and weekend shifts, with pro-rated leave and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Support people with learning disabilities in daily life and routines.
• Willingness to register with NISCC and undergo an enhanced Access NI check.
• Clean UK driver’s license is required for this role.

Responsabilités

• Support people with learning disabilities in their daily lives and routines.
• Assist with personal care and medication, including bathing and dressing.
• Help with finances and everyday tasks like shopping and bill payments.
• Encourage independence and social inclusion by supporting community activities and groups.
• Use Positive Behaviour Support strategies to enhance quality of life.
