Job summary

Case Management Cymru is seeking a Female Support Worker in Penarth to provide home-based support for a client with learning disabilities and spinal injury. The role involves assisting with daily tasks, laundry, tidying, and meal preparation, and supporting independence.

You will work 12 hours per week across two weekday shifts, with some occasional extra hours. An Enhanced DBS check, induction and training are provided, and a driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Be able to drive and have use of a car.
• Have a good understanding of cognitive and physical difficulties needs.
• Enjoy working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Enhanced DBS check required; full induction and training provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist with laundry and keeping the home tidy.
• Help learn to cook a variety of meals.
• Provide hair washing supervision; assist showering as needed.
• Support outings, games, and activities with client.
