Job summary
Acuity Care Group is seeking a Female Support Worker to assist a 14-year-old girl with complex medical and developmental needs at her Leigh family home. You will provide daily living support, mobility assistance, and a calm, reassuring presence to help her feel safe and supported.
Experience with non-verbal users and complex health needs is beneficial. Training, DBS funding, and progression opportunities are offered, with shifts including term-time and holiday periods.
Qualifications
- Calm, patient and compassionate approach to supporting a young person.
- Ability to follow care plans, risk assessments and health protocols.
- Willingness to complete ongoing training (epilepsy management, safeguarding, moving and handling).
- Experience with complex needs, learning disabilities, epilepsy, autism or challenging behaviours is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Support a 14-year-old girl with complex medical and developmental needs at home.
- Assist with daily living and modifications to diet where needed.
- Support mobility and moving/handling; respond calmly in emergencies.
- Follow care plans and health protocols; work with family and professionals.
- Encourage outdoor activities and sensory play; provide consistent routines.
