Job summary

Sugarman Health and Wellbeing in Congleton is seeking a compassionate Support Worker to help a young man with autism with daily living tasks, personal care and social activities. The role offers full-time hours, a pay rate of £13.50 per hour and a flexible shift pattern.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of professional care experience.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
• Up-to-date CV with full work history.
• Must have own vehicle or be within commutable distance.
• Flexibility to work different shifts when required.

Responsibilities

• Supporting individuals with daily living tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and personal care
• Promoting independence and helping service users develop life skills
• Providing emotional support and building positive relationships
• Assisting with medication management (where required and trained)
• Supporting individuals to access the community, attend appointments, or participate in social activities
• Encouraging and enabling service users to achieve personal goals
• Maintaining accurate records and reporting any concerns to the care team
• Ensuring a safe, respectful, and person-centred environment at all times
