Job summary

Sugarman Health and Wellbeing is seeking a Support Worker in Congleton to help a young man with autism with daily living tasks, personal care and community participation. The role is open to female applicants only as a genuine occupational requirement.

The position offers full-time hours at a rate of £13.50 per hour, with training and ongoing support provided by our Nurse Care Manager and Registered Manager. Committed, compassionate applicants will join a nationwide care provider.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of professional care experience.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with daily living tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and personal care.
• Promote independence and help service users develop life skills.
• Provide emotional support and build positive relationships.
• Assist with medication management where required and trained.
• Support access to the community, appointments, or social activities.
• Encourage service users to achieve personal goals.
• Maintain accurate records and report concerns to the care team.
• Ensure a safe, respectful, person-centred environment at all times.
