Job summary

Milton Keynes City Council is seeking a compassionate Support Worker to join the Adult Provider Services. You will deliver personalised care, support independence and enable participation in meaningful activities in adults’ homes or community settings.

The role is site-based, with flexible working patterns across service areas. Applicants should be prepared for pre-employment checks and DBS where required. Interviews on 11 November 2026.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personalised care and support in line with each person’s care plan, needs, and preferences.
• Provide personal and intimate care with privacy and dignity while following infection prevention guidance.
• Notice and report changes in health or wellbeing and seek guidance when needed.
• Help people participate in meaningful activities to support independence and wellbeing.
• Keep clear written and electronic records and communicate with colleagues, families and external organisations.
• Work flexibly across the service, complete required training and use equipment safely.
