Job summary

Komplex Community in Droitwich is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to empower adults with learning disabilities and complex needs to live independently. You will join a hands-on team delivering person-centred care, supporting daily living tasks, confidence-building activities and community access.

The role requires a Full UK driving licence, at least 1 year in care, and a compassionate, resilient approach.

Qualifications

Full UK (manual) driving licence required.
At least 1 year experience in care or support is desirable.
Compassion, resilience and emotional intelligence valued.
Confidence working with individuals with learning disabilities, autism and challenging behaviours.
Basic IT skills for communication and record-keeping.

Responsibilities

Support individuals with essential daily tasks such as cooking, personal care, cleaning and budgeting.
Encourage independence and build confidence through activities and community access.
Provide a calm, reliable presence during difficult times and offer emotional reassurance and structure.
Promote routines and relationships that help people feel safe, respected and included.
Monitor and record progress, celebrate small wins daily.
Work regular 12-hour shifts, including waking nights, to deliver consistent, high-quality care.
