Job summary

Scholars Mews Care Home in Stratford-upon-Avon is seeking a Sous Chef to support the Head Chef in leading a culinary team delivering nutritionally balanced, high-quality meals within budget.

You will prepare modified diets per IDDSI guidance, supervise staff, and uphold stringent food hygiene standards while supporting the Avery Food safety management system. DBS check will be funded by Avery.

Qualifications

• Prepare modified diets in line with IDDSI guidance.
• Supervise culinary staff and train unqualified staff.
• Maintain the highest hygiene standards in food preparation.
• Understand Avery Food safety management system.

Responsibilities

• Prepare modified diets that look appealing and well-balanced within IDDSI guidance.
• Supervise and direct culinary staff as directed by Head Chef; demonstrate to unqualified staff.
• Ensure highest hygiene standards in all kitchen activities.
• Help the team fully understand Avery Food safety management system.
