Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a Sous Chef for Priory Court Care Home in Stamford. You will support the Head Chef, lead a culinary team, and contribute to nutritionally balanced meals for residents.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of catering experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist the head chef in leading a culinary team to provide nutritionally balanced, high-quality dining for residents within budget.
• Prepare modified diets that look appealing and are well-balanced per IDDSI guidance.
• Supervise and direct kitchen staff, training unqualified staff on basic food preparation.
• Ensure safe food handling and hygiene standards across all kitchen activities.
