Job summary

Orkney Islands Council is seeking a Social Care Assistant at Kirkjuvagr House. This permanent, part-time post is 29.5 hours per week and includes shift work over seven days. Salary is £34,468 – £35,168 pro rata (£17.87 – £18.23 per hour).

You will provide person-centred care to help residents live as independently as possible, observe confidentiality, and support with personal care in line with Health and Social Care Standards and the Care Inspectorate. PVG level 2 disclosure is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred care to enable residents to live as independently as possible.
• Observe confidentiality and ensure the safety and comfort of service users.
• Assist with personal care in line with Care Inspectorate standards.
• Work unsocial hours on a rota.
