Job summary

Orkney Islands Council is seeking a Relief Social Care Assistant to support older people in our care facilities. The role focuses on person-centred care, enabling individuals to live as independently as possible in line with national standards.

Hours are offered on an as and when required basis, with a shift rota including weekends, evenings and public holidays. The post is registered with PVG and requires Level 2 Disclosure; salary is £16.38 per hour (including DIA).

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred care to individuals to enable them to live as independently as possible.
• Assist with daily living tasks as required by residents.
• Report to a Senior Social Care Worker.
