Job summary

Envision Education is seeking a SEND Learning Assistant to support pupils with special educational needs in a busy UK school. This role offers an immediate start and the opportunity to work as part of a supportive team.

You will assist with learning activities, help pupils during lunchtimes and therapies, and contribute to a safe, inclusive classroom where every child can build confidence and essential life skills.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a UK educational setting is required.
• Experience with SEND is highly desirable.
• DBS check (Child and Adult) required or willingness to apply.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with learning, lunchtime routines, and playtimes.
• Work with the class teacher to prepare engaging, safe, inclusive learning activities.
• Help create a positive, nurturing environment where pupils develop confidence and life skills.
• Accompany pupils during therapy sessions and enable participation in mainstream lessons.
• Encourage social, emotional, and academic development.
• Follow safeguarding and school policies to ensure pupil safety.
