Job summary

Protocol Education in partnership with Harlow primary schools is seeking enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to join busy teams. You will support pupils with additional needs across 1:1, small groups and in mainstream classes to access learning and build confidence.

Experience with children is desirable; SEN experience helps. A patient, caring and resilient approach, strong communication and teamwork are essential as you work with teachers, SENCOs and support staff to create nurturing learning

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people is desirable.
• SEN experience is advantageous but not essential.
• A patient, caring and resilient approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with Autism, ADHD, Speech & Language needs, SEMH and other additional learning needs.
• Deliver targeted interventions and tailored support programmes.
• Encourage engagement, independence and positive learning behaviours.
• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and support staff.
• Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs.
• Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils and families.
