Job summary

Protocol Education is recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with a range of additional needs across our partner primary schools in Harlow. You will assist learners on 1:1 and small-group bases, contribute to inclusive classroom practices, and work closely with teachers and SENCOs.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people is desirable.
• SEN experience is advantageous but not essential.
• A patient, caring and resilient approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with Autism, ADHD, Speech & Language needs, SEMH and other needs.
• Deliver targeted interventions and tailored support programmes.
• Encourage engagement, independence and positive learning behaviours.
• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and support staff.
• Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs.
• Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils and families.
