Job summary

I C Talent Ltd is seeking caring SEN Teaching Assistants to join schools supporting children and young people with special educational needs. You will work alongside experienced teachers to help pupils feel supported, included and confident in their learning.

Responsibilities include one-to-one and small-group support, helping pupils achieve personal targets and EHCP outcomes, fostering an inclusive learning environment, and building positive relationships with pupils, families and staff.

Qualifications

• Previous SEN experience is desirable, but it's not essential.
• Experience in education, childcare, care, support work, youth work or other people-focused roles is welcome.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils with their learning and classroom activities
• Providing one-to-one and small-group support
• Encouraging communication, interaction and independence
• Supporting pupils to work towards their individual targets and EHCP outcomes
• Helping create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment
• Providing personal care where required
• Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils
• Working closely with teachers, families and other support staff
