Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant in Cranborne, Wimborne BH21 5RT to join a specialist independent day school supporting students with autism, communication needs, dyslexia, and anxiety-related barriers to learning.

You’ll work in a supportive, small-class environment, helping students develop academically, socially, and emotionally while making a meaningful impact.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English at grade 4/C or above
• Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or working towards
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection
• Experience with SEMH and/or ASD

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored support to students in and out of the classroom
• Assist with differentiated learning activities
• Support communication, social, and independence skills
• Monitor progress and liaise with staff and SEN coordinators
• Support behaviour management strategies
