Job summary

Firs House Surgery is seeking an experienced phlebotomist to join our friendly Nursing Team. You will provide professional, reassuring blood tests and ensure samples are labelled and handled correctly.

The role requires patient-centered care and excellent service to our 13,000 patients. The post involves running planned venepuncture clinics, working with clinical, reception and admin teams, and delivering high-quality patient care with a positive attitude.

Qualifications

• Venepuncture training and practical skills required.
• Strong patient communication and empathetic approach.
• Ability to work well in a team and manage busy clinics.

Responsibilities

• Take blood samples from patients following procedures.
• Confirm patient identity and obtain consent before sampling.
• Label, store and process samples accurately for lab.
• Maintain clean, safe clinical room and equipment.
