Job summary

Cantilupe Surgery in Hereford is seeking a reliable phlebotomist to join our friendly primary care team for one day per week (8 hours). You will provide a high‑quality phlebotomy service, ensuring safe blood collection and a positive patient experience at the heart of our care.

The successful candidate must be a fully qualified phlebotomist, nurse or HCA, with strong infection control practices and the ability to work with GPs and practice staff to ensure safe blood collection.

Qualifications

• Qualified phlebotomist or nurse or HCA with phlebotomy competence.
• Experience handling blood samples and patient interaction.
• Knowledge of infection prevention and control procedures.
• Ability to maintain accurate patient records and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Carry out venepuncture and blood collection safely.
• Provide calm, professional experience for patients.
• Label and handle samples accurately.
• Prepare and process specimens per procedures.
