Job summary

Direct Payment Employer is seeking a dedicated Personal Assistant to support a gentleman in Kidwelly with daily routines and community access. The role involves flexible hours, including 56 overnight respite hours per year plus 448 wraparound hours, with care provided in the PA’s home as needed.

The ideal candidate will be patient, compassionate, and able to work with someone who has learning impairments, allergies, and occasional health needs. Training will be provided where available.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting adults with learning impairments
• Ability to handle sensitive personal care and safeguarding considerations
• Strong communication and social interaction skills

Responsibilities

• Support daily routines in the employer's home.
• Encourage independent living and community engagement.
• Assist with meals as required.
• Provide intimate personal care when needed.
• Support safe travel and appointments in the community.
• Maintain safety and report concerns promptly.
• Respond to emergencies by contacting GP, Social Worker or Local Authority.
