Job summary

Encompassborders is seeking a Relief Personal Assistant to support a lady living in Jedburgh during staff holidays or sickness.

The role provides emotional and psychological support, helps the client stay active in the local community, and build confidence. Shifts are flexible and may be offered at short notice; rate of pay is £14.05 per hour. All statutory employment rights apply; PVG/Disclosure checks may be required.

Responsibilities

• Offer emotional and psychological support through friendly conversation and companionship.
• Encourage client to access the local community and activities.

• Provide encouragement and reassurance when needed.
• Assist with maintaining the client’s home and meal preparation.
• Support with making appointments and off-cover shifts as needed.
