Alliance Pioneer Group in Devon/Cornwall is seeking an Ambulance Care Assistant to join the Patient Transport team. You will support non-emergency journeys between hospitals, clinics and homes, helping patients on and off vehicles with dignity and safety.

A full UK driving licence and a healthcare background are essential. You will work in a small crew, monitor patients en route, maintain records and uphold infection prevention and safeguarding guidelines.

Responsabilités

• Transport patients safely to and from hospitals, clinics and home addresses.
• Provide compassionate, dignified and person-centred care throughout each journey.
• Help patients with mobility, boarding and leaving vehicles, and use moving and handling equipment.
• Monitor patients in transit, recognise deterioration and raise concerns.
• Safeguard vulnerable adults and children in line with safeguarding policies.
• Assist with hospital admissions, discharges and inter-facility transfers.
• Complete daily vehicle checks, report defects and keep vehicles clean, stocked and fuelled.
• Secure wheelchairs, stretchers and other equipment correctly.
• Keep accurate patient, journey, incident and vehicle check records.
• Communicate with hospitals, GP surgeries, ambulance control, families and carers.
• Record basic observations and assist patients on oxygen where trained.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow infection prevention and health and safety procedures.
