Job summary

Health Transportation Group UK Ltd in Exeter is seeking Mental Health Ambulance Care Assistants to join our compassionate team. You will drive ambulances and assist patients with complex mental health needs during transport, while following care plans and safety protocols.

The role requires a full UK driving licence, DBS checks, and the ability to manage distress in dynamic environments. Training is provided and shifts follow a 4-on, 4-off pattern.

Qualifications

• Empathetic, compassionate care for patients with mental health needs.
• Full UK manual driving licence with up to 6 points.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS check required.
• Willingness to drive and provide non-emergency transport.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport patients in ambulance and accompany them during transfer.
• Drive and maintain company vehicles according to policy.
• Follow care plans, risk assessments and safety protocols.
• Record patient information accurately using digital or paper systems.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure high standards of care.
• Maintain a clean, fully equipped vehicle at start of each shift.
