Job summary

North Yorkshire Council is seeking a caring and reliable driver to transport clients to various venues, ensuring safe, comfortable journeys and adherence to safety procedures. Full training provided, including MIDAS and First Aid. Salary £25,614–£26,847 pro rata per annum, with term-time adjustments.

Qualifications

• D1 entitlement is essential.
• A background driving minibuses is an advantage but not required.
• Strong communication with staff, carers and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Drive accessible and non-accessible minibuses and other vehicles, with minor repairs as needed.
• Ensure passengers board, travel and alight safely and use safety equipment correctly.
• Communicate effectively with school/centre staff, parents and carers.
