Job summary

North Yorkshire Council's Integrated Passenger Transport Operations Team provides safe, reliable transport for the community across North Yorkshire. This role supports passengers needing additional assistance and helps deliver school and social care transport services.

You will drive minibuses, ensure safe boarding/alighting, and collaborate with staff, parents and carers. Full training including MIDAS and First Aid is provided; D1 entitlement is essential, with progression training within three

Qualifications

• Must be a caring, flexible and committed driver.
• D1 entitlement on driving licence is essential or must be obtained within 3 months.
• Experience driving minibuses or similar roles is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Drive accessible and non-accessible minibuses and other vehicles, with minor repairs as needed.
• Ensure passengers board, travel and alight safely and use safety equipment correctly.
• Use communication skills to connect with school staff, parents, carers and colleagues.
