Job summary

Hillborough Infant and Nursery School seeks a reliable Midday Supervisor Assistant to join the midday team. The role involves supervising pupils, assisting with meals, and supporting pupils with personal care and movement during lunch hours.

The successful candidate will work as part of a collaborative team, promoting a safe, positive environment and safeguarding at all times. DBS checks and right-to-work documentation will be required.

• Willingness to work with young people.
• Commitment to safeguarding and welfare of children; DBS checks required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils immediately before, during and after the midday break, including those on school meals.
• Assist pupils with toileting and personal hygiene under supervision.
• Assist with lifting and handling of non-ambulant pupils with team support.
• Encourage eating and guide use of cutlery; clear spillages as needed.
• Carry/transport trays to tables and return crockery to the food counter.
• Provide initial aid if a pupil is ill or distressed and summon help.
• Wipe and wash pupils after meals; assist with dressing for outdoor play; supervise playground.
• Support interview processes if requested; comply with safeguarding checks.
