Job summary

North Yorkshire County Council is recruiting a Passenger Assistant to support children and adults on journeys to activities across North Yorkshire. This part-time, fixed-term 12-month post is 20 hours per week, term-time only, with a pro rata salary of £28,153–£30,023 per annum. You will help passengers board, travel safely, and assist carers. Training is provided and enhanced DBS is required. Split shifts 07:00-09:30 and 15:00-17:30.

Qualifications

• Experience not essential, but some experience in a similar role is an advantage.
• Full training is provided for the right candidate.
• Medically trained to administer emergency medication to children as required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure passengers board, travel, and alight safely with correct use of safety equipment.
• Communicate effectively with carers and colleagues.
• Assist with administering emergency medication as per care plans.
