Job summary

Applefields School in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, is hiring a Passenger Assistant for its Integrated Passenger Transport Operations team. The role covers 12.5 hours per week during term time, with split shifts 07:00–09:30 and 15:00–17:30, on a fixed-term 12‑month contract. Training is provided, and DBS disclosure is required.

You’ll help ensure safe journeys for passengers, communicate with carers, and administer emergency medication when needed, following individual care plans.

Qualifications

• Experience is not essential; full training provided.
• Medically trained to administer emergency medication following care plans.
• Enhanced DBS Disclosure is required for appointment.

• Ensure passengers board, travel, and alight safely, using safety equipment as required.
