Job summary
Medicare People Limited in Canterbury is seeking a compassionate Live-in Carer to support clients in their own homes, promoting independence and wellbeing through personalised care and companionship. You will assist with daily living tasks, meals, medication prompts, light housekeeping, and mobility support, with flexible placements and 24/7 team availability.
This role requires at least 6 months UK care experience and right to work in the UK; prior live-in experience is a bonus.
Qualifications
- At least 6 months UK care experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Reliability and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Flexibility to travel and work in different locations.
- Experience administering medication is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred care within clients' homes.
- Assist with personal care and grooming.
- Prepare meals and drinks.
- Administer medication safely and correctly.
- Carry out light housekeeping and laundry duties.
- Support with shopping and other essential errands.
- Monitor clients' wellbeing and report concerns.
- Keep care notes up to date and accurate.
- Help clients live comfortably, safely and independently at home.
