HC-One is inviting applications for a Kitchen Assistant role in our care home settings. You will help prepare and serve nutritious meals, support with kitchen duties and maintain high standards of cleanliness, with a focus on kindness and resident wellbeing.

We welcome applicants with some kitchen experience and a willingness to work towards an NVQ2 in Catering or Food Preparation. Full training, DBS/PVG checks, and a supportive team are provided.

Qualifications

• Some kitchen experience and a real passion for helping others.
• Willingness to work towards NVQ2 in Catering or Food Preparation.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow recipes and record information accurately.

Responsabilités

• Assist with meal preparation under the direction of the Chef or Cook.
• Serve meals with warmth and respect.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, including equipment and surfaces.
• Monitor and record food storage temperatures.
• Support stock rotation and proper storage of ingredients.
• Train new team members on safe kitchen practices.
• Wash up and keep the kitchen spotless.
