Job summary

At Bupa's Wingham Court Care Home in Claygate, we are seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join our team and deliver an excellent dining experience for residents. You will support the main kitchen, help plate meals, and contribute to a clean, organized prep area on a rotating day shift.

The role emphasises high standards, respectful resident interactions, and teamwork with kitchen and care home staff. A Basic Food Hygiene Certificate is required, with experience in a kitchen and a passion for good

Qualifications

• A passion for food with previous kitchen experience and a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards in and around the home for residents' dining.
• Ability to work with the wider kitchen and care home teams and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Acting as the link between the main kitchen and residents.
• Assisting chefs to plate meals, prepare food trolleys and keep prep areas clean.
• Monitoring stock rotation and following COSHH and HACCP guidelines.
• Assisting with catering for events such as summer BBQs and Christmas parties.
