Job summary

Bupa is seeking a Kitchen Assistant on a bank basis at Wingham Court Care Home in Esher. You will support the kitchen team, help plate meals, and keep prep areas clean while upholding hygiene standards.

The role involves assisting with stock rotation and occasional events to ensure residents enjoy a pleasant dining experience. Working closely with the kitchen and care home teams, you’ll communicate effectively and contribute to a warm, home-like atmosphere for residents.

Qualifications

• Passion for food with kitchen experience and a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Delivers excellent service at each meal and makes residents feel at home.

Responsibilities

• Acting as the link between the main kitchen and our residents.
• Assisting the chefs to plate meals, prepare food trolleys and ensure all preparation areas are kept clean and tidy.
• Monitoring stock rotation, complying with company policies and procedures following all mandatory COSHH and HACCP guidelines.
• Assisting with catering for special events such as summer BBQs and Christmas parties.
