Avery Healthcare is looking for a warm, enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant on a bank basis at Birchmere House Care Home in Solihull. You will support the catering function, assist in food preparation, and maintain a clean, hygienic environment to deliver a high-quality service for residents.

You should hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and have knowledge of Health and Safety, Moving and Handling, Fire Safety and COSHH. DBS check and eligibility to work in the UK are required.

Formación

• Hold Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety, Moving and Handling, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
• Efficient worker capable of sustained physical effort and handling a demanding workload.
• Demonstrate initiative and a flexible attitude to teamwork.
• Caring and understanding attitude towards residents.

Responsabilidades

• Support catering and food preparation and maintain a clean environment for safe production of meals.
• Ensure high standards of hygiene and quality in kitchen operations.
• Contribute to team, respond positively to colleagues and follow work instructions.
• Advise on supplies and ensure timely ordering of replacement goods.
• Respect residents and their visitors, upholding dignity and individuality.
