Job summary

Stonehaven (Healthcare) Ltd in Exeter is seeking a Kitchen Staff Member for 30 hours per week. You will prepare, cook, and serve meals, considering residents’ dietary needs, textures, and allergen requirements.

You will assist with daily prep, bake light refreshments, and help maintain high hygiene and food safety standards while supporting care staff in meeting residents' nutritional preferences.

Qualifications

• Food hygiene knowledge aligned with care-home standards.
• Ability to work in a team with care and kitchen staff.
• Good communication with residents and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and serve meals and snacks with attention to dietary needs and textures.
• Assist with daily prep tasks including washing, peeling, chopping and cooking ingredients.
• Bake cakes and prepare light refreshments and beverages for residents.
• Ensure meals are presented well and served on time following hygiene standards.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and equipment in line with infection control policies.
• Regularly clean and sanitise surfaces and utensils.
