Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is looking for a friendly Kitchen Assistant for Springwood Corner Care Home in Gravesend. You will support catering, assist with food preparation, and keep a clean kitchen to ensure safe, high-quality meals for residents.

Qualifications

• Hold Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and maintain high personal hygiene.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety, including Moving and Handling, Fire Safety and COSHH.
• Able to handle a demanding workload with sustained physical effort.
• Caring and respectful attitude toward residents.

Responsibilities

• Understand safe food handling to ensure the highest hygiene standards.
• Contribute to team working, responding to colleagues and instructions promptly.
• Advise on supply and quality of items and timely ordering of replacements.
• Act toward residents and visitors with dignity and respect.
