Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is hiring a Kitchen Assistant for Rivermere Care Home in Chipstead, Sevenoaks, Kent. You will support the catering function, help prepare meals and beverages, and keep the kitchen clean to ensure high hygiene standards.

You will work as part of a caring team, respond to workload demands, and uphold residents' dignity. DBS disclosure check will be funded by Avery, and eligibility to work in the UK is required.

Qualifications

• Hold Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and high standards of personal hygiene.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety, Moving and Handling, Fire Safety, and COSHH assessments.
• Efficient, capable of sustained physical effort and able to respond to a demanding workload.
• Demonstrate initiative and flexible aptitude to team working.
• Caring and understanding attitude towards residents.

Responsibilities

• Support catering in food preparation and maintain a clean kitchen to ensure safe production of meals and beverages.
• Ensure highest hygiene standards in all food handling and storage processes.
• Advise on supply quality and assist with timely ordering of replacement goods.
• Respect residents and visitors, upholding dignity and individuality.
