Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a friendly Kitchen Assistant for Ascot Grange Care Home in Sunninghill. You will support the catering team with preparing meals and beverages and maintain a spotless kitchen to ensure high-quality resident service.

In this role you’ll contribute to a caring environment, uphold hygiene standards, and work as part of a collaborative team to meet residents’ needs, with opportunities to grow within Avery’s network of homes.

Qualifikationen

• Hold Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and demonstrates high standards of personal hygiene.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety, particularly Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
• Be an efficient worker, capable of a high level of sustained physical effort and able to respond to a demanding workload.
• Demonstrate initiative and display a positive and flexible aptitude to team working.
• Exhibit a caring and understanding attitude towards the residents.

Aufgaben

• Support the catering function in food preparation and maintaining a clean environment for safe production of beverages and meals for residents.
• Understand the principles of safe food handling to ensure highest hygiene standards.
• Contribute to team working, respond to colleagues, and action reasonable work instructions promptly.
• Advise on the supply and quality of items used to carry out tasks and ensure timely ordering of replacements.
• Act towards residents and their visitors with respect for dignity and individuality.
