St Mark’s Care Home in Maidenhead is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join the friendly team. The role supports the main kitchen, plates meals, and ensures clean, tidy preparation areas, while maintaining high standards for residents’ dining experiences.

The successful candidate will have a passion for food, kitchen experience, and a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate. Full-time hours, 40 per week across 4 shifts, with benefits through Bupa.

Qualifications

• A passion for food with previous kitchen experience.
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Deliver excellent dining service for residents.

Responsibilities

• Acting as the link between the main kitchen and residents.
• Assisting chefs to plate meals, prepare food trolleys and keep prep areas clean.
• Monitoring stock rotation and following COSHH and HACPP guidelines.
• Assisting with catering for events such as summer BBQs and Christmas parties.
